Ran the Rimington Loop for the second time - only safe on a Saturday when the roads are quiet
Cool morning - met an acquaintance cycling up the hill and jogged along
really pleased with how my heart rate was so low even on the steep hills
really shows that a combination of long miles and occasional weeks off yields big benefits
I think that I should manage to bank 350 miles before midsummer now, 50 more than planned, giving an excellent base for the marathon training and also for the big hills of Scotland :)

Another good early morning run - first cowslips, nuthatch - I think there are lots more varieties of daffodils around this year.
As you can probably surmise this was an easy run - they all are at the moment, apart from the longer weekly run. However having done about a months intensive training, am probably ready for the imposed break which lies ahead :)

first day of blogging my running - working towards 350 miles before midsummer when, DV, I am headed to Scotland for a week of serious hill walking :)
then to up the ante with a view to breaking my marathon PB in Snowdonia! Crazy!! But then 'Crazy people see things no-one else sees!'
PS I already have 120 miles under my belt this season
